Hi there! 👋

🐼 About us

WeWard is the app that rewards you for walking and turns everyday steps into real-life rewards, connections, & positive impact!

Our mission is to help people move more, feel better, and make movement meaningful.

Today, we are trusted by 25M+ users worldwide, with a fast-growing, international team and offices in Paris and New York.

Our ambition is to build the world’s leading movement-and-rewards platform, scaling globally while using technology, data, and smart incentives to drive lasting behavior change and wellbeing at scale.

🎯 About the role

Our Platform team is growing, and we’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join the journey and help us scale an infrastructure that serve millions of daily users.

You will report to Bastien (Lead SRE) and work closely with all the tech team.

👉 Your impact/responsibilities

  • Own our infrastructure-as-code foundations using Pulumi (Python) — designing reusable component libraries consumed by all engineering teams

  • Help us scale our AWS platform (ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache) reliably as we grow our user base and expand across markets

  • Improve our CI/CD and deployment pipelines to unlock engineering autonomy and faster release cycles

  • Drive our observability practice — Datadog, CloudWatch, SLOs — so every team can own the reliability of their services

  • Strengthen our security posture: WAF, least-privilege, secrets management..

  • Contribute to our data infrastructure (Kafka, Flink, Glue/Iceberg) and ensure pipeline reliability at scale

  • Collaborate with backend and data engineers to embed reliability practices from the design stage

🧠 What we’re looking for

You’re the perfect match if…

  • You have 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps or Platform Engineering, ideally in a startup or scale-up

  • You have strong hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, RDS, IAM, networking) and can navigate it confidently without hand-holding

  • You've written infrastructure as code — Terraform, Pulumi or CDK — and have opinions on how to structure it well

  • You're pragmatic: you know when to build something robust and when to ship something good enough

  • You communicate clearly with engineers and can translate infra constraints into something product teams understand

  • You take ownership end-to-end: you don't just open tickets, you close problems

  • You have a startup soul — comfortable with ambiguity, energized by building things that don't exist yet
