Profil recherché

Technical competencies

  • Materials: deep knowledge of film families (PE, PA, PET, PTFE, multilayer laminates), elastomers, and technical textiles

  • Welding processes: expert in thermal sealing (impulse, bar, controlled temperature), RF welding, and ultrasonic techniques. Ability to troubleshoot process failures and optimize parameters

  • Extreme environment expertise: thermal behavior at −90 °C to +80 °C, UV aging, ozone attack, mechanical creep, cold-brittleness, visco-elastic effects

  • Thermo-optical properties: absorptivity, emissivity, solar absorptance; thermal modeling; radiant equilibrium calculations

  • Characterization & testing: ASTM/ISO standard test methods; ability to specify tests and interpret results.

  • Thermo-optical properties: absorptivity, emissivity, solar absorptance — application to extreme thermal environments

  • Technical textiles & sewing: stitching design, seam assembly, reinforcement patterns — a significant asset

  • Regulatory awareness: basic understanding of aerospace traceability, configuration control, and documentation rigor (EN 9100 / Part 21 context) — will be developed on the job.

Leadership & Professional competencies

  • Technical authority: comfortable making material/process decisions under uncertainty; able to defend rationale to regulators and auditors

  • Supplier management: contract negotiation, audit protocols, quality improvement

  • Mentorship: ability to teach junior engineers, provide constructive feedback, and develop technical competence in the team

  • Strategic thinking: long-term material roadmap, cost-quality-schedule trade-offs, supply-chain risk, technology positioning

  • Documentation: clear technical writing, traceability discipline, revision strategy, natural alignment with QMS rigor.

Education & Experience

  • Engineering degree (Bac+5 equivalent) in materials science, polymers, or textiles; or equivalent hands-on experience in aerospace, space, medical device, or advanced packaging roles

  • 8+ years in soft polymer materials and/or welding process development

  • Experience with exposure to a regulated environment (aerospace, space, medical) is required

  • Leadership: 3+ years in a technical leadership or domain-lead role (mentoring, design authority, supplier management)

  • Preferred background: aerospace, space, balloons, technical textiles, medical (welded pouches), or technical packaging roles.

Poste basé à Escalquens.

Deux entretiens sont prévus pour cette position.

2 postes sont à pourvoir, un en CDI et l'autre en CDD.
